"Until you make the unconscious conscious,
it will direct your life
and you will call it fate"
- Carl Jung
Dr. Khanie Ha, EAMP, LSWAIC
My last name, 何 (Ha), means "who",“what”, "when", "where", “why”, "how" questions that have guided the course of my life. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest as a second-generation Chinese American, I often felt disconnected from my cultural roots and uncertain of who I was. I tried to find myself through many identities: Asian American, gender-nonconforming female, lesbian, and someone living with chronic illness. Yet none of these labels could capture the whole of me.
Seeking understanding, I turned to the study of Chinese Medicine, which moved me beyond identity into a deeper awareness of the body’s wisdom and the spiritual dimension of healing. Through this exploration, I came to recognize the profound vulnerability and sophisticated resilience of the human body. My curiosity led me further inward into the unconscious, the collective psyche, and the spaces where the seen and unseen meet.
Having grown up surrounded by trauma, addiction, and the intergenerational echoes of war and displacement, I understand how oppression and suffering can shape our sense of self. My own healing journey has been one of liberation releasing inherited narratives and acculturation to rediscover the truth of being a human within the spirit.
Today, my work reflects that ongoing inquiry. I integrate psychotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and intuitive healing to help others bring awareness to what has been hidden, transform patterns that keep them stuck, and reconnect with their innate essence and freedom.
